Duct Leakage to Outside. (Flow Hood Method)

Duct leakage exceeded 150 CFM 50 in 70% of the systems.


Disconnected Ducts

Disconnected ducts were found in 31% of the systems.


Low Air Flow

Air flow measured across the indoor coil was deficient by more than 50 CFM/Ton on 48% of the systems.


Recirculation Through Outdoor Coil

Air discharged from the outdoor coil was recirculated back through the coil due to obstructions in 18% of the system.


Refrigerant Charge

Systems were found to be undercharged in 31% of the sample. Sixty-nine percent of units had either correct charge or were overcharged.


Refrigerant Leaks

Refrigerant leaks were found in 20% of the systems.
